Green Schools'Green Schools' is an international environmental education process which promotes environmental action and awareness amongst schoolgoers. Through it, environmental issues move out of the curriculum and into the day-to-day running of the school. It is run by An Taisce in co-operation with Local Authorities throughout Ireland. Green Schools is both a programme and an award scheme; the Green Flag award is given to schools that successfully complete the programmes.
