There are approximately 26 towns around the globe sharing the name of “Westport”. The organisation named Westports of the World (WOW) links all of them and a convention in one of the Westports was held bo-annually. The 2010 Convention was held in Westport, Ireland from September 16th - 19th, 2010. It was the 25th Anniversary of the Convention. The gathering, though smaller that year due to many factors, was a wonderful occassion with Delegates arriving from as far afield as Newfoundland, Kansas City Missouri, New York and New Zealand. www.westportsoftheworld.ie
